Eminem is hosting a new competitive rap battle league

Which you probably don’t want to do now (or ever – he’s mental), because then you wouldn’t get the chance to partake in the rapper’s new project – a competitive rap battle league, which is to be called ‘Total Slaughter’, with the first event to be held at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom in July. Aside from the fact that this sounds suspiciously like the name of a WWE wrestler, the idea is that the programme will raise battle rapping’s profile. And if we learnt anything from 8 Mile, apart from the fact that we should never, ever go to Detroit, it’s that Eminem used to be partial to the odd bit of rap battling.”
