I recently came upon a great animated short, Wire Cutters, directed by Jack Anderson. Its logline is: “A chance encounter proves fateful for 2 robots mining on a desolate planet.”
The animation, color, story, and characters are all top notch. The robots are so expressive that you truly believe they have feelings. The adage of “show me, don’t tell me” with film making is achieved in this non-dialogue short. While I would have liked a different ending, I still think this is wonderful and indicative of reaping what you sow.
